I opened my eyes
to find
a whole new world
in front of me.

I could scarcely believe
the place
from where I had come.

I opened my arms
to be
hold
this whole new world
in front of me.

And it shrank away

away.

It would not stay.

I pondered my repulsiveness
in a place of immaculate loneliness.
