I’m at the point now where if I hear Abnett’s name, I know I’m in for a good ride. This entry in The Horus Heresy was no exception.
It’s another tale of a planet getting absolutely demolished by war, and the descriptions of the devastation are awe inspiring. We’re also treated to some tantalizing glimpses of the nascent cult behavior forming around the powers of Chaos.
This book covers a major plot point in the Heresy, and I consider it essential reading.
